Is there a paint technique to make wood look like brushed metal? Like a brushed steel or nickel look. I have wooden knobs and pulls that i want to paint to look like a brushed metal. i can’t afford to buy actual brushed metal knobs and pulls so need to find a way to make wood look like that.
Also i already have metal fan blades that are painted bright yellow, i want them to be the same effect of the brushed metal look is there a technique to do this look or a product that i can use to give everything that effect?
Note: i do NOT want them to be shiny, i want that dull brushed look.

Maybe chrome is the word i am looking for instead of nickel.

How do I paint this wood to make it look like the rest of the walls in the hallway ? Can I cover it with some type of paper and paint the paper so it has the same texture as the drywall ? What about the corner where the wood meets the existing finished drywall - how do you make it looks smooth ?
