ohhh yes! Want the wood surfaces to stay pretty!

My wood floors….use regular warm water mixed with about 1/4-1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar per gallon. Be sure not to over wet the floor, wood and water don’t get along well. I love my micro fiber mop for my wood floors. I also sometimes use Murphy’s oil soap instead of the vinegar. (I alternate)

As for my wood furniture, I just use a microfiber cloth and lemon oil about every 3 months, because wood drys out and loves the oil. For the frequent dustings though, I sometimes just use a barely dampened cloth and go over it.

You’ve got to get yourself a few microfiber cleaning cloths…they’re super for household cleaning. Better than paper towels because all ya do is toss them in the laundry to clean them. Just remember to NEVER use a fabric softener on them…it removes their ability to absorb!

I never use fabric softener on any towels…..ever.

I am a Murphy’s Oil user … I only use it on my floors twice a year to avoid build … and use a Swiffer wet jet for daily use with no film-y look. It works on ALL wood surfaces and keeps them very shiny and beautiful.

I use a couple of methods.
1: Pledge to wipe off the dust on my wood coffee tables, entertainment centers
2: A wet soapy hand towel on my kitchen cabinets when I start to see dark marks along the edges (mostly from me and the kids opening and closing them)
3: A wet soapy hand towel on my dinette set and computer desk–usually after the kids have eaten and left a sticky mess. I always go back over the table with a dry towel after I wipe it down with the wet soapy one.

Good Luck.
