I clean houses and when i clean a house that just had some kind of construction the wood floors would dust over after i finish mopping them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop it?

working from top to bottom usually helps…as far as the house (upstairs first…etc.) AND furniture/appliances (tops of cabinets, fridge, etc.) then make sure all surfaces above the floor are clean and then do the wood floors using a product similar to orange clean or pledge, etc. that will help keep the shine and clean look of wood flooring

construction wood

There’s not a whole lot you can do about it, that’s normal in new construction areas, especially if the workers didn’t cover the vents when the drywall was installed. You might try taking a vacuum hose attachment and try to dust out the vents, but it won’t get rid of the dust entirely. Each time the furnace or AC kicks on, that fine dust will blow out for a long time to come.
