wood
littleoreo945 asked:

The wood pieces are a half inch thick. I’ve already tried 1 ¼ inch screws but they kept breaking. I need to put the wood down to hold together two adjacent pieces of wood.
oops I meant its for two adjoining pieces of linoleum not two pieces of wood

Depending on what kind of load you are going to put on the wood you could just use some strong glue. If you think thats not gonna hold you’ll probably just have to buy some stronger screws.

GOOP is an awesome glue that will hold anything to anything. No Kidding. I use it all the time around the house. It’s not like super glue, instead it’s thick, clear, and goopy. Home centers sell if for about $4-5 a tube.

There’s two way to secure the wood to concrete one nail punch gun (If you do not know how to use is danger hard wear) second way is plugging plastic or steel (concrete plug ) make hole by diamond drill in concrete install plug and same point make hole in wood (free hole ) and ***** wood to concrete .

1. Buy some Tapcon screws. You drill a pilot hole in through the wood and into the concrete and then
you ***** the Tapcons right into the hole. The Tapcons thread themselves right into the concrete.

2.Take two nails and find a masonry drill bit that is just slightly under the width of the nails jammed side by side.Drill a hole
through the wood and mark the floor. Then using a masonry
bit drill a hole in the concrete just a 1/4 deeper than the length
of the nail minus the thickness of your wood. Now place wood
on floor and line up the holes in the wood with the holes in the concrete. Drop one nail in the hole then place the second
nail next to the first one and push it in as far as you can with your hand then pick up your hammer and drive it in the hole.

Liquid nail and some cut or concrete nail will do the job. If you already predrilled the floor then use anchor screws or bolts depending on what you will need. You will understand what you need after you see them.
